2019 Innovations in Foot and Ankle Surgery: Getting Your Head (and Hands) Around Them

This intensive, hands-on skills course covers innovations in foot and ankle surgery to avoid complications and ensure clinical success. With an agenda addressing challenging procedures that often lead to disappointing results, the course will provide you with strategies to improve decision making, determine the best treatment methods for your patients, and achieve successful outcomes. The course includes lectures, panel discussions, case demonstrations, and hands-on cadaveric surgical labs led by renowned faculty.


The course features over 9.0 hours of didactic and hands-on laboratory time, and utilizes the latest equipment and techniques on cadaver specimens. 


Educational objectives

At the conclusion of this meeting, learners should be able to: 

  • Discuss new advances and emerging technologies in orthopaedic foot and ankle surgery.
  • Demonstrate surgical techniques for multiple procedures treating conditions ranging from the ankle to the forefoot.
  • Assess the potential complications of the presented procedures and confirm how to manage them successfully.



Target audience

The course is designed for experienced orthopaedic foot and ankle surgeons and generalist orthopaedic surgeons interested in learning advanced techniques treating foot and ankle pathology.
